City Council member Michael Sabol responded to a letter to the editor in the Clarkston News' Feb. 24 edition, "Council careless with closed meetings, reader says." "The Open Meetings Act does not require a specific case number or litigation on the record," said Sabol, who consulted with attorney JamesTamm of the Michigan Municipal League, who is representing the city in lawsuits filed by city residents Richard and Sue Bisio.

Homeowners near Old State Road are up against a wall

One aspect of a multimillion-dollar project to fix one of Orange Township's most congested roadways has driven some residents up the wall. Construction could start in the fall on a $22 million project to widen South Old State Road from just south of Polaris Parkway to just north of Orange Road.
